About
Canoe Harbor Consulting takes its inspiration from a real place where clear thinking is restored, plans are hatched and action becomes possible. Our consulting practice strives to bring focus and renewed energy to each of our clients.
Canoe Harbor Consulting was founded on the notion that organizations often need focused communications support, but may not have the capacity internally to tackle these projects. To every client, we bring a diversity of experience, creativity, organization and a commitment to help you achieve your marketing and communications goals.
Canoe Harbor Consulting's principal consultant, Caroline Amport Piper brings a diverse background in communications, nonprofit and event management to Canoe Harbor clients.
Before starting Canoe Harbor Consulting, Caroline worked with New Hampshire Project Learning Tree, the New Hampshire Political Library, City Year New Hampshire, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Seacoast, Annie E. Casey Foundation, Court Appointed Special Advocates of Baltimore, the Maryland SPCA, Edgewood Center for Children & Families, The Jane Goodall Institute, and AmeriCares. She began her career working in public relations during the height of the (first) Tech boom in San Francisco as an account executive for Schwartz Communications.
She has also served as an adjunct professor at New England College developing and a teaching a practicum course in public history and periodically presented her signature workshop, "Marketing Your Mission," as part of the NH Center for Nonprofits program offerings.
Caroline has a Master of Arts in Public Policy and a Certificate in Nonprofit Studies from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA. She is based in Exeter, New Hampshire.
